REGULATIONS

I. GENERAL REGULATIONS

1.1. The Organizer of the Contest is Ars Festa, NGO, mob. +370 611 56008, e-mail: [email protected]

1.2. The date of the Contest – April 21–23, 2023. The Date of TV Shooting is April 29-30, 2023.

The Contest Vanue will be clarified in February.

TV Shooting Place – the Lithuanian National Television LRT, Konarskio Str. 49, Vilnius.

1.3. The Grand Prix elections and the concert of the best performers will be filmed and broadcasted by the Lithuanian National Television LRT and LRT Plius with announcements on the First National Television channel LRT and LRT Plius. The Contest is being announced by various media sources and on the Internet.

 

II. PROCEDURE OF THE COMPETITION AND DEADLINES

2.1. PROCEDURE:

2.1.1. Competition is open for:

  • soloists, duets, vocal groups and instrumental bands;
  • the Grand Prix winners of the 2021 are sustained from participating in the Competition for one calendar year, except if they would participate in another Grand Prix Category

 

2.2. TERMS AND FORMS OF APPLICATION FOR VOCAL COMPETITION

2.2.1. FOR FOREIGN PARTICIPANTS

There are two alternatives for foreign participants:

  1. Participants enter the competition live in the same way as local participants 21-23 April and wait until TV Gala Concert 29-30 April if the quality of their performance meets the requirements for the Television.
  2. Participants enter the competition online by sending their video by 10 March and come to the live TV Gala on 29-30 April if the quality of their performance meets the requirements for the TV Gala.

Participants who decide to participate in the competition online must send their video records via e-mail:

[email protected] by March 10, 2023. The record cannot be edited by any technical means. When sending the record, please provide additional information:

Participant’s name and surname (or group name)
Age of the participant (or average age of the group members)
The city
Name of the supervisor/ teacher
Contact phone and e-mail address to report on the results of the selection.

All participants will be informed about the results by e-mail by March 15, 2023.

 

2.2.2. PARTICIPATION IN THE LIVE CONTEST

Participants who participate in live competitions must fill out the application form on the website www.muzikostalentulyga.lt, by March 20, 2023. Every participant creates his/her account on the website www.muzikostalentulyga.lt

2.3. VOCAL COMPETITION CATEGORIES

Each performer participates in his/her age-group. Age groups will be announced at the end of the participants’ registration, depending of the amount of contestants. There is no age limit of the contestants.

The vocal groups’ age-group is determined by the average age of its participants.

Participants are invited to compete according to their age-groups in the following genres:

  • pop, pop classic;
  • rock;
  • folk (under the authentic or modern arrangement);
  • gospel
  • jazz & blues;
  • musical;
  • nomination LITHUANIAN SONG (Lithuanian writers’ songs).
  • Nomination SONG FOR VILNIUS, dedicated for 700 anniversary of Vilnius

Each participant is allowed to perform in one competitive (genre) category. The duration of the song is under 3:40 minutes.

If the number of participants is higher than it is possible to fit in the scheduled time, the organizer reserves the right to require the participant to perform only one song, but first agreed with the participant or his representative (manager or parent’s representative).

The songs may be performed “a cappella”, with a backing track (minus phonogram) or live accompaniment. Piano will be provided by the Organizer. If necessary, please, arrange any other instruments yourselves, including any additional sound gear, e.g. cubes for guitars, etc.

 

2.4. VOCAL COMPETITION CRITERIA:

  • Vocal technique (intonation, voice technique);
  • Performance quality and artistry;
  • Stage presence and stage culture.

The Jury will assess every performance giving points from 5 to 10 in accordance with the above criteria. The final performance result for each performer will be set as the average point score, drawn from all Jury members.

 

The panel of the Jury has the right to nominate more than one winner in each category.

On the Grand Final of the Contest (during the TV shooting) the performers compete for Grand Prix awards (independently of the genre) and three Grand Prix winners will be selected:

  • Grand Prix KIDS (among kids under 12 yrs)
  • Grand Prix JUNIOR (among teenagers of 13-16 yrs)
  • Grand Prix ADULTS (among participants 17+)
  • Grand Prix LITHUANIAN SONG (among all age groups)
  • Special Prize for the best song for Vilnius (among all age groups)

Grand Prix Finalists are elected by a unanimous decision of the Jury, not exceeding 10 candidates in each Grand Prix group.

 

2.5. SUPPORT FOR THE CONTEST

Performers are welcome to support the International Competition:

III. PARTICIPATION in the TV SHOOTING

3.1. Participants who are nominated for Grand Prix (10 in each Grabd prix Category) are invited to the TV  Shooting, where will be announced Grand Prix Winners.

3.2. Participants who were not nominated for Grand Prix but became the 1st Place Laureates are invited to the TV Shooting for an additional fee 60 EUR per performance but not less than 10 EUR per person.

3.3. Laureates who became the invitation to the TV Shooting for an additional fee have a right not to accept the invitation. In such case the invitation will be offered to another participant.

TV Shooting – fee should be paid before the TV Concert.

 

All performances will be filmed by 3 or 4 cameras. Videos are offered for 50 EUR per video.

 

IV. AWARDS

4.1. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd places and diploma nominees are assigned in each category. The panel of the Jury reserves the right to nominate more than one winner in each age-group.

4.2. Grand Prix Nominees will compete for the Grand Prix Awards:

  • Grand Prix KIDS (among kids under 12 yrs) – Grand prix Cup and 100 EUR Voucher for the participation in any of ARS FESTA’s Competition by 2024.
  • Grand Prix JUNIOR (among teenagers of 13-16 yrs) – Grand prix Cup and 100 EUR Voucher for the participation in any of ARS FESTA’s Competition by 2024.
  • Grand Prix ADULTS (among performers 17+) – Grand prix Cup and 100 EUR Voucher for the participation in any of ARS FESTA’s Competition by 2024.
  • Grand Prix LITHUANIAN SONG – Grand prix Cup and 100 EUR Voucher for the participation in any of ARS FESTA’s Competition by 2024.
  • Special Prize for the best song for Vilnius – Special Cup and a gift from Vilnius Municipality.

Grand Prix Nominees will be awarded special gifts established by the Organizer.

 

Grand Prix winners will receive their awards during the TV shooting.

 

V. LIVING COSTS

VI. FINAL REGULATIONS

6.1. Travel and accommodation expenses are covered by the participants and their accompanies.

6.2. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the Program and the Regulations, if necessary.

6.3. The Organizer reserves the right to all TV shows and radio broadcasts, publishing, filming and photographing of participants free of any extra charge. The organizer can use video, audio and photography for the purpose of the event for advertising without the individual permission of the participants.

6.4. The participant, having filled in the application and has expressed his willingness to participate in the competition, agrees that his personal data – name, age, place of employment and other data related to the competition activity will be voiced and public. The contact details of the participants and the phonograms are kept in the Organizer’s internal database and are not shared externally.

6.5. The performers take all the responsibility for the copyrights of their songs.
